Ship-to-ship transfers around the world There are 62 vessels that have engaged in ship-to-ship transfer operations globally in the last hours. According to our Explore tool, the majority of these transfers are taking place in the Gulf of Mexico (18%), Singapore (16%), Gulf of Guinea (8%), West Africa (6%), and the Persian Gulf (5%). Out of the vessels involved in an STS transfer, 57 are tankers, while 5 are cargo vessels. According to AIS data, most of them are sailing under the flags of Liberia
