On one of the first ROV dives of the #OctoOdyssey (too) expedition, the team witnessed a hachling octopus make its way into the world. At 3,100 meters, this is one of the deepest benthic octopus species we know of. With such an exciting beginning, the researchers are excited about what more is to come as the team makes its way off the shore of Costa Rica.
