COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The third day of the Winter Olympics saw multiple athletes make a name for themselves, including a central Ohio native, a Buckeyes hockey forward, and two overnight curling stars.
Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin secured U.S. Olympic history Monday with a stunning upset of hosts Italy in the mixed doubles curling semifinals. Italy entered as the reigning gold medalists, but settled for bronze.
Those interested in curling will get a chance to try it themselves the next two Sundays at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center.
